Dilemma is a debut project of a Russian development studio, 4Reign. The title represents an adventure game genre with the addition of RPG elements. For his needs we have created a graphic engine, thanks to which all seen environments give the impression of three-dimensionality, and the models, both of our characters and NPCs, are made in 3D.

The game was maintained in the SF convention with the admixture of cyberpunk. The action takes place in an undefined future, in postapocalyptic climates. The Earth was haunted by a mysterious cataclysm, which was neither the result of wars that had been waged for a long time, nor the consequence of progressive pollution. It is only known that it had something to do with the artifacts found on Mars. Suffice it to say that the earthly population has been decimated and the survivors have become an easy prey for bandits and religious groups led by lunatics.

It was at this time that the hero led by the player came to function. Travelling through canals, scrap yards, dusty roads, remnants of cities or gangs swimming around in luxury residences, he tries to survive and discover the mystery of the origin of the catastrophe. Along the way there are also various mini games and puzzles of increasing difficulty.

Dilemma offers a non-linear storyline and various options for solving subsequent tasks. Depending on our behaviour, we can also expect other endings of the game. This is influenced both by conversations with NPCs (over 20) and the aforementioned RPG elements, i.e. the presence of two parameters - Matter and Spirit. When performing tasks based on one of them, we weaken the other - for example, basing on Matter, we can balance the door to the room by force, but using a computer will come with difficulty. On the other hand, the predominance of Spirit elements will give us the ability to hack the computer, but already to open the door we will need a treasurer or other tools.
