DCS: F-86F Sabre
Digital Combat Simulator World Expansion Pack
Release Date: August 8, 2014
Another proposal of Eagle Dynamics, part of the popular DCS simulation series. In this part of the game, the workshop took a model of the American jet F-86 Sabre, which was in its heyday in the 1950s. The advantage of the game is, as usual, a realistic flight model and a detailed representation of all external and internal features of the machine.

Digital Combat Simulator: F-86F Sabre Description
DCS: The F-86F Sabre is another item in a popular series of professional flight simulators, developed by Eagle Dynamics with the active participation of the modder and player community. This time the publishers took to the workshop a less known and a bit older model of the F-86 jet, which was in its heyday in the 1950s. The Belarusian studio Belsimtek, the authors of the last installments of the series, is responsible for the preparation of the game.
The American single-engine jet F-86, commonly known as Sabre (or Sabrejet), was designed in the 1940s, just after the end of World War II. It was the first serial model, allowing for catapulting with the use of an explosive charge placed under the seat of the pilot. Manufactured in 1948-65, it was available in more than 20 different versions, which were used mainly by the air forces of the USA, Canada, Spain, Italy and Japan. The most important armed conflicts in which the popular "sabres" took part include the war in Korea and the India-Pakistan war in 1965 and the struggle for Bangladesh's independence in 1971.
Like all previous versions of the DCS series, its next version is characterized by a very high level of realism and faithful representation not only of the external and internal appearance or the weaponry used in the aircraft, but also its technical properties - including such details as electric and hydraulic systems of the jet. The interior of the machine is a fully interactive six-stage cockpit, operated by a mouse. The perfectly devoted physics of flight allows us to experience on our own skin all pros and cons of this historic machine. During the scripts prepared by the authors, we fight mainly against Russian fighters MiG-15, which at that time were the biggest rival and a peculiar nemesis of pilots F-86.
DCS: The F-86F Sabre is built on the same proven engine that powered the last installments of the series, ensuring high quality and detailed graphics. The product has traditionally been integrated into the DCS World universe created by Eagle Dynamics, which ensures compatibility with previous parts of the cycle and opens up a lot of possibilities for modders.
