Digital Combat Simulator: C-101 Aviojet, available on PC Windows, is another module released by Eagle Dynamics which is both part of advanced flight simulators and DCS: World platform. The game was developed by Aviodev studio and unlike the previous games from this series, which offered the most iconic aircraft and military helicopters, this one gives players an opportunity to fly a rather niche model, CASA C-101.
Mechanics
Aviojet is a Spanish trainer jet, designed in 1975 and used by Spanish, Chile, Honduras and Jordan Air Force. This model wasn't very popular and despite creating its assault version in 1980s' it was quickly forgotten. Currently, C-101 types are used by, e.g. Spanish Air Force's national acrobatic team known as Patrulla Águila.
As usual for this series, the machine is recreated with smallest details in how it is handled in the air, its construction and interior appearance. The jet has a traditionally interactive cockpit, which can also be customized to suit our preferences. The developers also recreated such elements as electricity, navigational, fuel and hydraulics systems etc. Players can also find little details like changes in pressure and amount of oxygen while flying the jet, option to damage undercarriage if it is used in a wrong way or sliding wheels on an air strip covered in ice.
Game modes
Digital Combat Simulator: C-101 Aviojet, released on PC Windows, offers two versions of the jet: the initial, trainer one with a simpler flight model and assault which uses a more advanced model with such recreated elements as, e.g. its weaponry placement. This module is fully compatible with DCS: World platform and it allows players to experience it alone or with other virtual pilots who can control other aircraft available in the series.
