An action adventure horror game by Infinitap Games. You play as Angel, a young woman, who suspects she may be pregnant. Angel has to face demons from the Filipino mythology, full of creatures eating babies, both born and unborn. The gameplay of Devastated Dreams focuses on exploring eerie locations, such as Tacloban, a port town destroyed by a hurricane, or the Kabayan caves.
Devastated Dreams for PC is an action adventure horror game by Infinitap, the creators of e.g. Neverending Nightmares.
Plot
You play as a young woman called Angel, who suspects that she may be pregnant. During the story campaign she has to find a way to survive the confrontation with demons from the Filipino mythology, which is full of creatures that eat babies, both born and unborn. The story is an important aspect of the game and many of its key elements can be interpreted in various ways.
Mechanics
During the campaign, you visit grim locations, most of them based on authentic places in the Philippines. They include e.g. the port town Tacloban, destroyed by a hurricane, and the Kayaban caves, full of mummified corpses.
Gameplay-wise, Devastated Dreams is an action adventure game, in which you mostly explore locations, solve puzzles, and avoid monsters. Angel is not completely harmless, but it is often better to take to your heels rather than to directly confront the enemies.
Technical aspects
The visuals as mostly black-and-white and two-dimensional, although they also feature a dynamic lighting system — the light has a major significance in the game. Moreover, there is no visible interface.
