Deer Hunter II: The Hunt Continues is a continuation of Deer Hunter: Interactive Hunting Experience released a year earlier. The creators took to heart the players' comments and decided to prepare a much more extensive production. The main focus is on the introduction of the possibility of free movement in the whole area. Previously, we had chosen from the map level a place where we wanted to get started on deer and we could not move out of it. Now we can easily chase the injured game, while at the same time remembering to reproduce the effect of the player's fatigue after a longer run.
At the beginning of the game we create our own hunter. The game automatically records all statistics covering not only the number of animals hunted, but also the accuracy in case of the use of certain types of weapons, etc. The game automatically records all the statistics. The available arsenal has tripled and now includes nine items: two carbines, a Magnum .44 revolver, a "pump" and semi-automatic rifle, a regular and foldable bow, a crossbow and a gun.
After completing the equipment including, among other things, a replacement GPS compass and objects used to lure or hide from deer (e.g. a tree dummy or antlers) we go to one of the twelve locations located in states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia or Washington. All the hunted animals go to the trophies known from the previous part of the hall.
Graphic design has also been changed. Details of the area have been increased and the animation of game has been improved. However, there is still no view of the dense forest, as the spacing between trees is usually relatively large.
