The game's publisher is Feardemic, a company owned by the Polish company Bloober Team, well-known for such game as Observer and The Medium. It was inspired by the deleted work of Hideo Kojima and Konami studio called P.T.

Plot

Death of Rose takes place in an abandoned high school, which, according to rumours, was a place of rituals by a mysterious, demented sect. The main hero is Scott, who is looking for evidence of paranormal phenomena and is trying to learn the dark secrets of the school together with his best friend Beth. However, disturbing rumours about a long forgotten high school force her to stay in the car. They both come to the conclusion that the old legend is more real than they initially thought. Scott has to face not only the dark secret of the school, but also test the endurance of his psyche.
