Deadly 30 is the work of the development tandem of Iggy Zuk - Gonzalo Villagomez. Inspired by classic zombie horrors, the creators decided to combine elements of an old-school Green Beret shooter with a tower defense strategy.
The action of the game is set in a world dominated by hordes of hungry zombies. The player directs the actions of the soldier, who as one of the few people still faces the living corpses. To survive, the hero has to survive another 30 days and the same number of nights.
The game is divided into two main elements. During the day, heros travels through the surrounding area in search of weapons (a total of 17 types - from the MP-40 rifle to laser guns) and equipment that will help him survive the night when his modest base is experiencing a real siege of zombies.
The game consists in shooting at the attacking hordes of living corpses and at least temporarily stopping them thanks to the obstacles (fences, entanglements, etc.). As he progresses in the game, heros meets other survivors who help him defend his base and fight against zombies.
As befits a classic run and gun shooting, the events are shown from a third person's perspective, and the player observes the profiles of the heroes, who can only move in two planes (right-left, up and down).
