De Mambo Description
De Mambo for PC, PS4 and SWITCH is a hilarious arcade game offering a simple, though very entertaining gameplay formula. The game is the debut of The Dangerous Kitchen – an independent studio.
Mechanics
De Mambo is based on very simple rules. The player's goal is to defeat all the enemies on the map. The control scheme uses only directional keys/an analog stick and one button used to launch three different attacks: tap (a single tap on the button), spin (performed by holding the button and releasing it), and shoot (this requires the player to hold the button longer). One has to be cautious however, as waiting for too long will create an advantage for the enemy. The action in De Mambo is both intense and fast-paced, and destructibility of the in-game environment quickens the pace even more, as there are no safe spots on the map.
Game modes
The single-player mode consists of over 70 maps. If the player wants to have fun with others, they can select cooperation in the Survival mode (one confronts the attacks from Personal Space Invaders here), or fight against up to three other players on one of the 25 maps (local multiplayer, shared screen). This latter mode also features the so-called Looser Rail, which gives a chance to rejoin gameplay to those that have been defeated.
De Mambo for PC, PS4 and SWITCH also allows the player to adjust the color palette in order to increase visibility and make it easier for visually impaired people to perceive the in-game details with ease.
Technical aspects
De Mambo for PC, PS4 and SWITCH offers simple, retro-styled visuals, nonetheless having a certain charm to them. The game makes a good impression mainly thanks to its coherent art style filled with colors.
