DC Heroes and Villains is a RPG puzzle game. The player creates teams consisting of superheroes and super villains, and then fights battles with their help.
DC Heroes and Villains is a mobile puzzle game with RPG elements. The game uses a free-to-play model and was developed by Ludia studio, which has already created Jurassic World Alive and Battlestar Galactica: Squadrons.
Plot
According to the title, the action of the game takes place in the comic universe of the DC publishing house. The plot revolves around a mysterious energy pulse that deprives all superheroes and super villains of their powers. The weakened must join forces to repel the attack on Earth.
During the game players have a chance to visit the most famous cities of DC Comics, including Gotham, Metropolis and Altantis, as well as to command such famous characters as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Joker or Lex Luthor.
Mechanics
DC Heroes and Villains belongs to a popular category on the mobile market, combining puzzle games with the RPG genre in the style popularized by the Puzzle Quest series.
We form teams made up of the most famous heroes and villains. Each of them has unique characteristics and skills. The player starts with a handful of characters and has to collect others through the gameplay. The key role is played by developing the skills and statistics of the subordinates, which allows them to slowly regain their lost powers.
The gameplay itself focuses on battles that are puzzle challenges. These battles take place on boards filled with various precious stones. Our task is to manipulate them in such a way as to obtain a series of at least three of the same type. Creating these combinations allows you to attack enemies and activate special powers. The more gems included in a given combination, the stronger the action it causes.
Technical aspects
DC Heroes and Villains features a simple but eye-pleasing 2D graphics that successfully recreates the atmosphere of the DC comics universe.
