Set in fantasy reality game belonging to the popular MOBA genre (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena). Production is the result of cooperation between the Waystone Games studio and Electronic Arts corporation and draws patterns from classics of the genre, such as DOTA 2 or League of Legends.

Dawngate is an online battle MOBA game, modeled on titles like Dota 2 and League of Legends. It was produced by Waystone Games in collaboration with Electronic Arts.

The game is set in a fantasy world full of magic, discreetly enriched with steampunk elements. Dawngate remains faithful to the basic principles of MOBA games so the gameplay consists of two teams of players battling each other. Each of the players controls a single hero equipped with a rich set of special abilities. The aim of the game is to destroy the enemy base. During the match we collect points that we spend on character development. Compared with typical MOBA game, the developers have considerably expanded the strategic aspects. So-called wells of souls were placed on the maps, providing a constant supply of raw materials. Each of such object generates collectors controlled by the artificial intelligence who automatically gather the energy needed to buy new powers, thus, a good way to weaken the enemy team is to attack his collectors. Moreover, if we control a region for a certain amount of time, we capture it, including its wells of souls.
