It's been a year since Mike Dawson crossed the aliens of the Dark World, trying to enter the earthly dimension and take control of people. In the meantime, our protagonist went through a nervous breakdown to now fully recover to the old Victorian residence in Woodland Hills. Unfortunately, he does not know that the nightmare is not over yet, and ancient creatures will try to effectively get rid of the main opponent on the way to subjugate the people of Earth. Dawson is involved in the murder of Rita, his former schoolmate, and resolving this case will be your first task as Dark Seed II. Later, you will have to go to the Dark World and already there, once and for all get rid of the main threat.

Just like in the first part of the game, H.R. Giger, a tireless Swiss surrealist, helped to design the backgrounds. It must be admitted that it is his graphics of the Dark World, are the strongest point of the game. Anyone who has trembled at least once to see the alien ship's interior in Aliens can now prepare for a real shock. Generally, the whole visual setting has improved, just like the sound - the use of a CD allowed the creators of the game to place real voices for all the characters. As far as the game itself is concerned, the annoying passage of time has been abandoned. The problem of performing actions at a certain moment, known from the predecessor, disappears. However, programmers did not avoid further errors. The scenario is linear to the limits of possibilities, in addition, the program prevents us from traveling to some locations if we do not perform the necessary actions in the previous ones. As far as this is understandable with a cause-and-effect logical sequence, as in Dark Seed II, it does not make much sense. The locations we share have little connection with the previous action and sometimes we just wander in the dark, by the way hitting new boards.

Dark Seed II can keep you energized, is easy to use (classic "point & click" interface) and has a pretty good audio-visual setting. Unfortunately, playability leaves a lot to be desired.
