Dark Deity is an item inspired by the Fire Emblem series - the title combines elements of strategy and RPG. The game was funded through the Kickstarter platform.
Dark Deity is a strategy RPG inspired by such games as Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics. It focuses on turn-based battles, managing available heroes and building relationships between them. Dark Deity was developed by Sword & Axe LLC, a Sword & Axe studio - the title was created thanks to a successful fundraiser on the Kickstarter platform.
Plot
A thousand years ago, the world of Terrazael was struck by a Cataclysm, which led to the collapse of great civilizations famous for their advanced technology and powerful magic. On their ruins small kingdoms arose, fighting constant wars with each other.
The plot focuses on students of the Brookstead Military Academy prematurely forced to take part in the next conflict. Varic Val'Distar - ruler of the kingdom of Delia - decided to break the peace treaty and brought about a war in which the young recruits are to be cannon fodder. However, fate has assigned them a much greater role in history.
Gameplay mechanics
In Dark Deity we take part in turn-based clashes, during which we command units, giving them orders including movement, standard attacks, casting spells or using special abilities on strategic boards. The results of strikes are shown on an additional screen, displaying the life points of the combatants, as well as the chance to hit or take critical damage.
A key role in the game is played by the available heroes - each of the thirty soldiers is distinguished by biography, personality and life goals. He also gets access to different classes unlocked with character development. An important aspect of Dark Deity is building relationships between them, which leads to unique conversations.
More than three hundred weapons and spells are at our disposal, as well as Eternal Aspects, which are special artifacts that can change the face of any battle. In the game there is no risk of permanent death, but a hero defeated in battle receives a wound that reduces his effectiveness.

[1:00] Dark Deity trailer #1
Pure Nintendo: 7.5 / 10 by Kirk Hiner
Remember when Fire Emblem games focused more on story and combat than on fishing, construction, and class studies? So do the developers of Dark Deity, an SRPG that survives some annoying bugs and UI issues to provide a satisfying, briskly-paced adventure.
PCGamesN: 9 / 10 by Jack Trumbull
An outstanding homage to Fire Emblem which, in its rich cast of characters and thoughtful tweaks to combat, occasionally surpasses its classic inspiration.
Hey Poor Player: 3.5 / 5 by Scott MacDonald
Dark Deity is a flawed—but enjoyable—take on the classic Fire Emblem formula. I wish some of its elements weren’t so obtuse and vague, but I still found it impossible to put down. There’s room for a sequel, so hopefully, it won’t be too long before we get a chance to revisit Terrazael.
