Dark Colony is an interesting real-time strategy (RTS), developed by specialists from Strategic Simulations Inc. (SSI). We move there until the middle of the twentieth century, when work on the colonization of Mars is in progress. People were able to detect the source of raw material called Petra-7 (after processing it is a great source of energy), but with the expansion of influence on the Red Planet, the remains of an unknown, ancient civilization were also found. However, the peaceful process of Martian transformation is interrupted by its native inhabitants, called Grey, who stand up to fight against human colonizers....

In Dark Colony we play the role of the commander of the forces of the Earthlings or Martians. We have at our disposal 10 units on each side of the conflict (infantry, artillery, fighters, etc.), but they differ only in appearance. A day and night cycle has been implemented here, which determines the effectiveness of the troops - People have a better range and deal more damage during the day and Martians at night. Expansion of the database consists in attaching further sections of the database to the main headquarters - in total, we can attach five sections (they deal with the development of new technologies or enable the production of new branches).
