A title in which players try to make dance figures as faithful as possible to the rhythm of popular music hits, displayed on a TV screen. The game uses the PlayStation Move motion controller to track the progress of the participants.

DanceStarParty: Become a Dance Star is a music and dance game where players have the opportunity to test their hearing, body coordination and dexterity by performing various dance figures to the rhythm of popular hits. The production of the title is the responsibility of London's Sony development studio, which is known primarily for the exceptionally popular in Europe series SingStar.

As in other games of the genre, such as Dance Central or Just Dance, the primary goal of the players participating in the game is to imitate as faithfully as possible the virtual dancers who appear on the TV screen. Apart from the dancer we can also watch a music video and its text in a smaller window. It is possible to switch off the video clip and replace it with a webcam image, in which we will be able to watch our performance live. You can also save and share your recordings on Facebook or share them with friends on the web. Each of the dance arrangements assigned to a song can be played in three levels of complexity, making it easier for newcomers to play. All songs are available in standard and abbreviated versions. The game evaluates our accuracy in reproducing dance figures by awarding points. If we feel like it, we can compare our results with other game owners. We have several gameplay modes at our disposal, including a training mode focused on the highest possible physical effort. If we get bored with the layouts prepared by the creators, we can always create new ones by ourselves, thanks to the attached editor.

DanceStar Party also supports local multiplayer mode. A maximum of two players can move in front of the TV with controllers. They can take part in a dance duel, or support each other in the cooperation mode, in which the points scored are added up. What's more, if we have the right number of Playstation 3 dedicated microphones, up to 18 more people can participate in the game, who will sing along with the lyrics displayed.
