Dance Party is a dance game created by Polish developers from IQ Publishing, using a dance mat inspired by productions from the Dance Dance Revolution series.
During the game, players stand on a mat stretched on the floor, on which four directions are marked. Then they choose the soundtrack from the 17 available songs from the club music genre. Then it remains for them to choose a level of difficulty adapted to their individual abilities and start dancing.
The game is based on simple rules, but it takes a lot of time and self-denial to achieve the championship. Arrows symbolizing the directions on the mat, which should be pressed with the foot at the right moment, flashes through the screen. The faster the music and the higher the difficulty level, the higher the number of arrows and the speed at which they move. The player's task is not to fall out of the rhythm and at all costs to avoid squeezing in the wrong direction or choosing the wrong moment.
An interesting addition to the Dance Party is the counter, thanks to which players can learn how many calories they lost while jumping on the mat.
Graphics plays only a symbolic role in the game. Each work is accompanied by different coloured, animated backgrounds that resemble an abstract video.
