Release Date: March 15, 2011
Party, music, dancing, PlayStation Move, splitscreen, PlayStation exclusive, multiplayer, singleplayer
Dance game from Ubisoft Studios, in which we have the opportunity to take part in a musical through the PlayStation Move controller. The game was aimed at immediate fun, so the career mode was abandoned. We choose one of our favourite Brodway musicals and we feel like a professional dancer by performing dance positions according to the instructions on the screen.
Dance on Broadway Description
Another dance game created by Ubisoft that uses PlayStation Move functionality. Dance on Broadway is basically a Just Dance clone, in which you can dance to classic pieces from Broadway musicals.
The game lacks a career mode. Console users can select one of the twenty available songs and dance in front of their TV screen. Among the songs included in the soundtrack there are: Time Warp from the Rocky Horror Show, Let the Sunshine In from Hair and Fame from the musical of the same name.
The game mechanics were built on the core rules known from Just Dance. Instructions on how you should move are displayed at the bottom of the screen, and you should try to perform them. Each element of performance is assessed by the game and marked with one of three notes that later relate to the sum of the point for the dance.
In terms of graphics Dance on Broadway looks similar to many other dance games. Choreographies as well as on-screen characters and scenes refer to popular Broadway shows and create a specific appealing atmosphere.
