Cube Creator 3D is a Minecraft-inpsired sandbox game developed by Big John Games for Nintendo 3DS. The game allows us to create our own kingdom in a randomly generated world. Cube Creator 3D has two primary game modes. In the Creative mode we explore the stereoscopic 3D fantasy world and modify it as we please. We use various tools and resources to do so. Survival mode, like its name suggests, focuses on survival.
Cube Creator 3D is another sandbox production, one of the numerous followers of the cult Minecraft of Mojang AB. This time, however, the ability to create your own kingdom in a randomly generated world, has been reserved for users of 3DS mobile consoles. Big John Games studio is responsible for the creation of the game, with a number of productions dedicated to Nintendo consoles.
The game offers two main variants of fun. In Creative mode, we explore the fantasy world shown in stereoscopic 3D view, modifying it at our own discretion with the use of available raw materials and tools. The course of the game is shown on the top screen of the console, and the intensity of the 3D effect can be adjusted by means of a slider built into the device. The lower 3DS touch screen is fully reserved for the inventory menu, so you can access it all the time without interrupting the game.
In Survival mode - as you can easily guess, special emphasis is placed on the aspect of survival. We start the game with empty hands, and our task is to obtain various raw materials as soon as possible, which we will then combine with each other in order to create the basic tools. These in turn will be used to build a hideout and to construct a weapon, which will be useful in confrontation with monsters inhabiting the land. The game can take place in several thematically diverse landscapes, such as the forest, desert, mountains and tundra.
As in many similar productions, Cube Creator 3D graphic design uses typical voxel technology. However, the authors took care of numerous special effects and dynamic lighting, thanks to which their production stands out from the competition of Minecraft clones.
