Cthulhu Saves the World Description
Cthulhu Saves the World, released on iOS, AND, PC and X360, is an independent production of Zeboyd Games, a pastiche of classic RPG games.
Plot
The creators focused on using as much humor as possible in their game. The main character is the famous Great Old One, derived from the mythology created by H.P. Lovecraft. Cthulhu decided to destroy the world but was deprived of its power by the mighty wizard. As a result, to get rid of his curse, the monster must first become a good hero who fights evil. Only in this way will he regain his lost power and manage to destroy the world.
Mechanics
We observe the game from the bird's eye view, and battles take place on a separate screen, where we fight using a turn-based combat system. By defeating new opponents, we gain experience and new skills allowing us to adapt the team to our tastes. The campaign will last about 10 hours.
Technical aspects
The 2011 edition of the game was called Super Hyper Enhanced Championship Edition Alpha Diamond DX Plus Alpha FES HD - Premium Enhanced Game of the Year Collector's Edition. Compared to the original, it has been enriched with a "crazy" difficulty level and additional play modes. For example, they allow you to lead only one hero instead of a four-person team or immediately advance to the maximum level which is 40. In turn, Cthulhu's Angels mode significantly influences the course of the whole game introducing new dialogues, bosses, etc. The mode of Cthulhu's Angels significantly influences the course of the whole game.
In terms of graphic design, the creators referred to games from the 16-bit era. All the characters are shown humorously, and the fantasy style is mixed with science-fiction.
