Crying Suns is a mix of demanding roguelike with tactical battles taking place in space, where we must find a way to save humanity from destruction by playing the role of a space fleet commander.

Crying Suns is a tactical roguelike set in space, where we play the role of a space fleet commander, whose task is to learn about the fate of the fallen kingdom and save the human race from total annihilation. The game is created by an independent Alt Shift studio from France.

Plot

The game is set in space after 700 years of relative peace and quiet, after Galactic Kingdoms have literally disintegrated, human robots and and androids have been deprived of their power, and humanity itself is just a hair away from extinction. In the game we play the role of Admiral Ellys Idaho, or rather his clone, awakened by the last of Omni's guards. Our task is to go to the enigmatic planet of Gehenna, consisting mainly of rocks and ice, where there is a top secret facility hiding all the discovered technological knowledge, which is the key to saving the human race.
