Crossing the line is a first-person shooter with detective elements, developed by Zomboko Entertainment. The only member of the Russian company is Artyom Mironov, who decided to put great emphasis on immersion.

Plot

The hero of Crossing the line is the former head of the investigation department, whose wife was killed in a terrorist attack years ago. Shortly after the incident, our protagonist was fired and the case of his wife's death and the attack was quickly closed for unknown reasons. When we start the game, our hero experiences strange and very intensive dreams where he sees the death of his beloved and her desperate cry for help. Realizing that these are not ordinary dreams, he decides to investigate the assassination on his own.

Mechanics

One of the key elements of Crossing the line is the ability to switch between the world of the living and the dead, which, however, has irreversible consequences. However, the hero's ability cannot be activated at any point in the game, and abuse can lead to mutilation or killing of the character. This supernormal skill, which is often the key to solving puzzles, is only available after performing certain activities.

Technical aspects

Zomboko Entertainment studio has also put an emphasis on the dark, even depressive atmosphere, which harmonizes with the artistic vision of Crossing the line. The game uses CryEngine 3.
