God is a Geek: 6 / 10 by Lyle Pendle
Critter Cafe is a cosy game that just misses the mark, thanks to its lifeless world and repetitive gameplay which make it hard to recommend.
GameGrin: 6.5 / 10 by Dylan Pamintuan
Critter Café is very cute and cosy, perfect for a younger demographic, but there isn't that much substance to it that made its 12+ playtime all that engaging.
LadiesGamers.com: by Lynne Newey
Critter Café is a heartwarming, wholesome game. Its straightforward approach to café management and puzzling makes neither activity overly complicated. The artwork is beautiful, and with no time pressures or penalties for missing service, it’s a delightful game to play.

Critter Cafe Description
Critter Cafe is a production on the border between adventure games and economic simulations. It was developed by Sumo Digital studio, which has in its portfolio such projects as Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Team Sonic Racing or Hood: Outlaws & Legends.
Gameplay
In Critter Cafe we watch the action from a bird's eye view. The game takes us to the fantasy Golden Leaf Island and allows us to decide on the appearance of our character. We can decide on things like the color of our hair and hairstyle, as well as clothes and various cosmetic accessories.
Cafe
The gameplay is based on two pillars, the first of which is taking care of the cafe. All matters related to its functioning rest on our shoulders - from arranging furniture and placing decorations, to deciding on the types of coffee and snacks served to customers. Apart from that, there is nothing to prevent us from organizing parties for various occasions, such as birthdays or movie nights.
Exploration and creatures
The second pillar of Critter Cafe is the exploration of the land, where we move through magical portals. In the locations we visit, we solve environmental puzzles and find creatures of various appearances that we can take with us.
We can surround the creatures with proper care - regularly feeding them, washing them, grooming them, and playing with them, or providing them with an appropriate pen. They will repay us by helping in the cafe, starting with entertaining our guests. Over time, new traits will develop for them, which will be reflected in both their skills and appearance.
Graphics
The graphics in Critter Cafe were kept in a cartoon, manga style. The game runs on the Unreal Engine.
