Crimson Tears is a Fighting RPG that pits you using weapons and hand-to-hand combat in a futuristic Tokyo that has been turned into a complete labyrinth by some freak accident. You take control of three Humanoid bioengineered living weapons, each with his or her own favorite type of weapon. Their names are Amber, Kadie, and Tokio, and together they are trying to work their way to the top floor of the building where the accident that caused this catastrophe supposedly took place.
Hard-Core Fighting System
You’ll go up against groups of enemies, with a deep hard-core fighting system backing up your every move. Use your fists, or any one of the various weapons (gloves, swords, guns, bazookas, flame-thrower, etc.) to mow your way through every unlucky enemy that stands in your way.
Randomly-Generated Labyrinths
In this game you will be working your way through randomly-generated dungeons, or labyrinths, which means that every time you enter a labyrinth, its layout will be totally different, not to mention the placement of items, enemies, etc. will change. So there is no “right” way to beat each level. The key to success will be adapting to your environment.
Fully 3D Cel-Shaded Animation
With both a warmth that can’t be expressed in normal CG movies, and bold camera work that is virtually impossible in standard cel animation, the animated cut scenes in the game are truly astonishing. The combination of advanced 3D CG production and cutting-edge cel shaded animations rendering take the animation to the next level.
Upgradeable Combo System
Being prototypes, the 3 main characters still have not realized their full potential. By collecting combo expansion parts, they can incorporate them into their system and in a sense “program” themselves with new, varied abilities that allow them to kick more enemy butt with powerful combos.
