Criminal Investigation Agents: Petrodollars is a proposal of French company Anuman Interactive addressed to lovers of detective adventures. The production belongs to the popular genre of casual games like HOG (Hidden Objects Game).

The core of the story of Criminal Investigation Agents: Petrodollars is the investigation into the murder of a government official of the Internal Revenue Service. Agent Frances Keegan suspects that Klaus Fredricks is to blame for the death of her colleague. Following in the footsteps of a criminal, the heroine discovers the secrets of the world of financial embezzlement.

The game consists mainly of solving tasks such as "hidden objects". When visiting successive locations in the game, the player has to find objects cleverly camouflaged in the pictures abounding in detail. Simple mini-games such as puzzles, sliding blocks or match-3 puzzles add variety to the fun.

The difficulty level of the game is not particularly high. Nevertheless, the creators decided to introduce simplifications. Less experienced players can use, among others, a magnifying glass, which allows you to look at a selected fragment of the image in zoom.

On the technical side, Criminal Investigation Agents: Petrodollars is based on solutions from other games of this type in the output of Anuman Interactive (e.g. Frankenstein: The Dismembered Bride and Secrets of the Vatican: The Holy Lance). Two-dimensional graphics combine hand-drawn backgrounds and simple animations.
