Cricket Captain 2018 is an advanced cricket team guidance simulator. In this production we will find many improvements to the previous version of the game, as well as a database of more than 6500 licensed players (along with full statistics from the last few years). Childish Things, consistently developing the series since 2006 (then called International Cricket Captain Ashes Edition 2006), is responsible for the creation of this production. The game was created in cooperation with Jimmy Anderson (one of the most recognizable players in this sport).

Mechanics

In Cricket Captain 2018 we play the role of cricket team manager. Running a team requires making many difficult decisions, such as recruitment of players, line-up and tactics. One of our tasks is also the search for sponsors, thanks to which sportsmen and sportswomen have adequate funding.

Childish Things game reflects the management of a real team (more than 130 teams are available) in one of the many 20-over leagues (English, New Zealand, Australian, Pakistani and Irish, among others). A certain novelty in relation to the previous part of the cycle is the mechanics, which makes it possible to receive offers from other teams to take on the role of captain. The game management engine has also been improved, new training options and more extensive player statistics have been added.

Technical aspects

Cricket Captain 2018 has quite an attractive graphic design, which can be roughly divided into two parts. The first one is a clear interface full of statistics and data enabling players to perform managerial duties. The second consists of an advanced, three-dimensional engine, thanks to which we can observe realistically reproduced matches.
