Crashlands 2 is the next installment in an action adventure series with RPG elements by American studio Butterscotch Shenanigans. They were also responsible for such games as Flop Rocket and the award-winning Levelhead. The second installment of Crashlands was released on the PC, on Steam. It's also available on mobile devices, exclusively as part of a Netflix subscription.

Plot

The game's protagonist, Flux Dabes - having spent years fulfilling a lucrative, though morally dubious contract, returns to her homeworld to visit her old friends and rest after suffering from corporate burnout. Close to her destination, however, a mysterious explosion blasts her ship towards an alien planet. She crashes in an utter wasteland, far from friends, completely alone.

Mechanics

The game combines elements of crafting, combat and exploration. The player must traverse the colorful alien planet, meeting many NPCs with unique abilities, offering useful knowledge. By making friends and helping others achieve their goals, the protagonist learns new crafting techniques, which come in handy when building a shelter to rest after an exhausting day in the wilderness.

Players can choose both the location and the appearance of their temporary home. As the game progresses, the base can be gradually modified and expanded to fit potential roommates. Players can peacefully craft useful tools, talk to friends or get to know an adopted pet.

Woanope is a world featuring lush ecosystems, full of curious creatures and friendly communities. Players can focus on hunting, farming, expanding their equipment or fighting powerful enemies. We'll also get to discover various stories tied to specific places or groups of strangers.
