Craftopia

Craftopia is an action adventure game with clearly defined survival elements and aspects typical for RPGs (especially of the hack'n'slash sub-genre). The game also contains some ideas reminiscent of games such as Harvest Moon or Stardew Valley. The Japanese studio Pocket Pair is responsible for its development and release.

Mechanics

In Craftopia, we observe the action from different perspectives, but most often the camera is behind the protagonist's back ( TPP). Players take on the role of their own created character (we can adjust their sex, race and appearance by changing their face, skin colour, hairstyle or adding decorations).

The core of the game is the exploration of vast, open locations (as well as dangerous dungeons), gaining resources and clashing with enemies, with an arcade combat system. It is worth noting that we can walk or use vehicles in the game world.

Players can also engage in fishing, growing plants (we have more than twenty different species) and breeding animals, and even design solutions to automate certain processes (mainly collecting resources and crops). The game also offers the option of catching various animals and creatures, somewhat reminiscent of what we know from the Pokemon series.

As the game progresses, we are also gradually developing our hero's skills - a tree with more than a hundred different skills can be found in game, linked to both fighting and crafting.

Game modes

In Craftopia we can play alone or with others. The game offers a single player mode as well as a online co-op mode.

Technical aspects

Craftopia has attractive, three-dimensional graphics. Technically, the graphic design presents an average level, but lively colours and interesting designs of locations, characters and colours make the final effect of the graphic designers' work look very decent.
