Corridor 7 is the first person shooter, for which Capstone Software is responsible. The player plays the role of an agent of the American special forces, who is sent to a foreign-controlled complex.
In 2012, the U.S. Space Expedition manages to find a metal object on Mars, which is irrefutable proof that life exists outside of our planet. A valuable find is brought to Earth and then placed in a secret laboratory, where scientists take part in its analysis. A gamma irradiated object explodes unexpectedly and then opens the door to another world. The underground research complex quickly fills up with hostile creatures, which begin to murder unsuspecting employees of the facility....
Corridor 7 is the first person shooter, for which Capstone Software is responsible. The player plays the role of an agent of the American special forces, who is sent to a foreign-controlled complex. The aim of the struggle is to reach the title corridor and close the gates connecting the Earth with the world of monsters.
The Capstone Software product uses an engine that was used in Wolfenstein 3D. The creators were tempted by numerous modifications of this engine, thanks to which Corridor 7 looks a bit better than the memorable shootout of id Software studio. The game itself does not differ from other productions of this type. The player wanders through the deserted corridors of the underground complex, and his task is to kill the creatures roaming here and there. An impressive set of futuristic means of annihilation and other gadgets facilitating survival in inhospitable complex, e.g. night vision, were made available to the commandos.
Corridor 7 was originally released on diskettes, but in 1995 Capstone Software re-released the game, this time on CD. This edition has been enriched with new levels, weapons and multiplayer mode.
