Corona Blossom Vol. 1 Gift From the Galaxy PC

Corona Blossom Vol. 1 Gift From the Galaxy is a classic visual novel. Founded thanks to the crowdfunding campaign, the game was created and published by an independent studio Frontwing, known for example from the popular Grisaia series or ISLAND.

Story

The story of Corona Blossom Vol. 1 Gift From the Galaxy focuses on Keiji Osaki, a young man with an unusual knack for working on machines and robots. Unfortunately, he doesn't like his job and, to top it all, he doesn't pass the universite exams, so he decides to go to his grandfather, where he helps in the workshop. Although Osaki also has to deal with automation there, the new rural environment allows him to rest and relax.

One day Keiji discovers an unknown life form that has fallen to Earth with a piece of meteorite. Soon afterward the creature takes on the form of a girl, resembling some the boy used to know in the past. A mysterious creature named R-ne quickly learns to speak and informs Osaki about her intention to return to her native planet. Our protagonist decides to help her, although it will not be easy, because a cosmic pirate, very eager to get his hands on R-ne, stands in their way.

Mechanics and technical aspects

In terms of gameplay mechanics, Corona Blossom Vol. 1 Gift From the Galaxy is a typical example of a visual novel - the player's task is only to scroll through subsequent scenes, containing text narration, scene backgrounds, and character sprites. The game focuses only on telling an interesting story, so we don't have to make any choices that could influence the character's further fate.

Just like in many other representatives of the genre, the visuals are presented in manga style. Frontwing used the e-mote system, thanks to which the characters of the story are partly animated, which allows to better convey their emotions. Basic edition of Corona Blossom Vol. 1 Gift From the Galaxy does not contain age restrictions, but developers have also prepared a special patch to unlock adult content and remove censorship. The game's audio and character voices are in Japanese, but the game offers English subtitles.
