Remake of the economic strategy released in 1997 on the PC and the original PlayStation console. Constructor Plus offers improved graphics and a range of new features, the most important of which is the ability to go into space. The game was developed by System 3 Software.

Constructor Plus is an improved version of the economic strategy that debuted on Sony PlayStation and PC back in 1997. The game offers improved graphics, new challenges, and new buildings. The remastered edition was developed by the creators of the original, i.e. the existing for 30 years British studio System 3 Software (also known from the series The Last Ninja, SuperCar Challenge, and Putty Squad).

Mechanics

In Constructor Plus, the player takes on the role of the owner of a construction company, and his or her task is to develop the business and eliminate the competition. Players are responsible for acquiring the necessary materials (such as wood or concrete) and building various properties that meet the expectations of their customers. THese include wooden cottages and huge skyscrapers able to compete with the famous Trump Tower.

Thanks to the money obtained for completing contracts, players are gradually developing their business. A characteristic feature of the game is the possibility of using different methods of exerting competitive pressure - not always in accordance with the law. For example, players can hire hippies, psychopaths, thieves, and other types of saboteurs who, on their behalf, make it difficult for the competition to carry out their projects. It is even possible to use the services of the mob.

Constructor Plus offers a few things you wouldn't find in previous versions. Players get more buildings (more than 140 types are available) and boards, but the biggest novelty is undoubtedly the possibility of... conquering space. When players' empire is sufficiently developed, there will be an option to go to Mars or Uranus, as well as a space station on the Moon.

Game modes

In Constructor Plus one can play alone or with others. The game offers a dozen or so feature campaigns and worlds as well as several different, interactive scenarios. The creators have also prepared a four-person online multiplayer mode, as well as Town Designer tool, which allows you to create your own game environment.

Technical aspects

Constructor Plus offers refreshed visuals. The creators increased the resolution of the displayed image and applied noticeably more detailed models and textures. It is also worth noting that, similarly to the original version released over two decades earlier, the game is characterized by a large dose of humor.
