Construction Machines 2016 is a PC game developed by Gamecask and published by PlayWay. These two companies have worked together before on the previous installments of this simulator series.

Typically for the simulator genre, the creators did not bother much to come up with a consistent storyline and implement it into the game. Players get to assume the role of a construction company president who has to lead his company towards a financial success. This time, one has to manage their entire business but also do the construction work himself.

Mechanics

During the game, a player can sign new contracts, and after fulfilling them invest the money he earned into the development of his company and maintenance of all of the construction machines. All this paves the way to more ambitious and profitable undertakings, but it also unlocks access to new locations. The game delivers 30 missions with different targets and countless execution methods.

Even though the strategic aspect diversifies the experience, players will spend most of their time at the heart of the game – the simulation itself, which, in turn, offers players the opportunity to operate numerous construction machines in order to demolish, build, and maintain different structures. The game comes with a wide range of available vehicles, featuring simple tipper trucks, excavators, and huge cranes. During the game, players can also utilize many useful tools, such as wrenches, hammers, and even some explosives. Another key element of the game focuses on maintaining and modifying all of the construction machines. In total, the game offers 40 vehicle upgrades.

Technical aspects

Construction Machines 2016 makes a qualitative jump in comparison to the previous installments of the construction simulation series. Creators designed a completely new graphics engine, which features more detailed locations and vehicle models. The improvements are not limited to the visuals only – the new physics system increases the level of realism and allows players to experience dynamic demolition of most of the elements from the environment.
