Concord

Concord is a sci-fi FPS. The game is the debut work of Firewalk Studios from Washington, which came under the wing of Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2023.

Plot

Concord takes us on a journey to the titular, fictional galaxy. During the game we play as mercenaries from the Northstar crew, known as Freegunners, who travel through space and compete with other "freelancers" for prestige and rewards.

The cutscenes implemented in the game allow us to better understand each of these characters, as well as delve into the presented world.

Gameplay

In Concord we view the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The pillar of the game are the skirmishes we participate in on various maps, trying to achieve the goals set before us and prevent our competitors from accomplishing them.

The game offers a wide range of characters, differentiated by preferred weapons and combat skills. Among them, we can find both fairly standard gunslingers or snipers, as well as more sophisticated mystics with supernatural powers or powerful robots sowing chaos on the battlefield.

Their abilities are equally diverse and include creating walls of fire, throwing exploding knives and bombs, creating shields or setting traps. While creating them, the authors made an effort to ensure that every player had a chance to succeed, which is why accurate shooting is not always enough here.

Game modes

Concord was developed with multiplayer gameplay in mind, in which two five-player teams compete against each other in a number of different game modes.
