Colonize PC

Colonize is a strategy game with elements of a survival, in which we focus on managing a settlement and taking care of the well-being of its inhabitants. The game was prepared by Rembrosoft studio.

Plot

The action of the game takes place in the 17th century in the New World. During the gameplay, our task is the development of six cities: Roanoke, Plymouth, Bermuda, Boston, Williamsburg, and Providence. In each of them, we will face different problems and dangers lurking for the first settlers.

Mechanics

Colonize is a real-time strategy game dedicated to managing a small community. Our task is to create a thriving and economically independent colony in the New World. During the game, we take care of the settlers' needs, maintain relationships with the natives, and face threats such as adverse weather conditions.

We gradually develop subsequent cities, starting with obtaining basic resources. For this purpose, we construct buildings for loggers or hunters, as well as warehouses or farms capable of producing various types of food, including potatoes and corn. We also need to take care of the houses, thanks to which the residents will gain their own place to live, and thus their satisfaction will increase. We increase productivity by building roads (they speed up transport) and setting individual working hours, which will allow us, for example, to provide tired workers with a rest in a tavern. Over time, we will gain access to additional buildings, laws, technologies, and trade opportunities.

The settlers in Colonize are not anonymous characters. Each of them is distinguished by a first name, surname and factors describing them. We decide for ourselves what tasks we will assign them to. Over time, they will gain experience in their profession and become more effective in it.
