Codex of Victory

Codex of Victory for PC is a science fiction strategy game developed by a Russian studio Ino-Co, creators of games like Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim, Fantasy Wars, or the Warlock game series.

The Plot

The game takes place in a far future that is quite unconventional for a science fiction game. Mankind managed to populate over twenty planets, but the civilization's social structure reversed to that from the feudal times. Each territory is ruled by lords and barons, and the entire country is controlled by the king.

The plot focuses on the war between that kingdom and the Augments, a faction of genetically modified humans who also have cybernetic implants. They think that regular people are prisoners or their bodies and should be conquered for their own good and then augmented with the newest technologies.

Mechanics

Codex of Victory for PC offers a campaign during which we travel from one planet to another to counter the Augemnts’ attacks. On each of them we build and extend an underground base. This part of gameplay takes place real-time and will require us to manage our resources, conduct technological research, and construct various war machines which we then use on the battlefield. Combat takes place on the surface and is turn-based. Maps are made of hexagonal tiles. There are over twenty-five types of units available. Each of them can be upgraded.

Missions are generated procedurally, making every playthrough a unique experience.

Game Modes

Codex of Victory for PC offers a twenty-hour-long campaign and a multiplayer mode that allows us to face other players through the Internet.

Technical Aspects

Codex of Victory for PC has eye-pleasing 3D visuals that have a cartoon-style touch to them. The combination of the unique vision of our future and medieval ruling structure create a style referred to by the developers as neo-feudalism.
