The first of four large DLCs to the second installment of the post-apocalyptic series of first-person perspective shooters with RPG elements. Similarly as in the case of the basic version of Borderlands 2, the expansion was created by Gearbox Software. The action of Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty takes place in a previously unknown desert location, where, among the dunes, lies a small settlement called Oasis. Bandits led by Captain Scarlett live and operate in that area.

Set in the realities of dark fantasy strategy game, which is a combination of classic RTS with MOBA type productions. The game was created by Ironclad Games, a studio known for the warmly received series Sins of a Solar Empire. The gameplay does not offer a traditional story campaign, focusing on online battles of two teams of 5 players. During the game four players take control over single heroes with different special abilities.
