Clash II is a Polish strategy game which is a sequel to the 1998 game. It takes the player to a fictional history-inspired world where we stand on the side of one of two factions. It was developed by Prime Bit Games.

Clash II is a turn-based strategy game. It was set in a dark world inspired by history and is a continuation of Clash from 1998. Contrary to the first part, which was developed by Longsoft Multimedia (Leryx Longsoft), the second part was created by Prime Bit Games studio (it is the debut project of this developer).

Plot

The action of Clash II takes place on a continent called Karkhan, several years after the end of the original game's plot. The story campaigns present the history of conflict between two factions - dominating and believing in the One God - the Purians, and the local population, which uses magic and opposes the imposed faith by force. The developers have prepared two scenarios - in the first we play as the protagonist who tries to regain the kingdom from the hands of Willhelm, who has lost the favour of the Holy Servant. In turn, the campaign of the dissenters focuses on a woman who receives from her Gods a mission to unite the conflicted tribes.

Mechanics

Clash II is a classic, turn-based strategy in which the action is usually observed from an isomeric perspective (you can move the camera). The game is about controlling warriors on the battlefield and fighting with the enemies - victory is achieved by completing the goals set by the given mission.

It is worth noting that most of the troops we control are based on real armies known from history books. However, in Clash II you can also meet various mythical and legendary creatures on the battlefield.

Apart from the battles, the player is also responsible for leading his faction within the broadly defined strategic aspect of the game. We make decisions that shape, among others, technological and spiritual development, thanks to which we influence both the course of the game and the situation on the continent.

Game modes

In Clash II we can play solo or with others. Apart from two story campaigns, the game offers online and local PvP mode.

Technical aspects

Clash II has a rather simple, 3D graphic design, which does not impress the user with anything special, but competently reflects the world presented.
