Produced by ImaginEngine studio, a strategy game for the youngest, which is a computer adaptation of a classic board game. The game takes place on a square board with dimensions of 10x10 fields, and the player's task is to reach the top left corner of the finish line in front of the competitors, using ladders and avoiding the slide.
Chutes and Ladders Description
Chutes and Ladders is a children's board game popular in the United States, created in 1952 by Milton Bradley and based on the traditional Indian game moksha pAtam (free translation of The Road to Salvation). ImaginEngine studio in cooperation with Hasbro toy company undertook the preparation of its computer adaptation.
The game is addressed to children aged 4-7 years and is characterized by exceptionally simple rules. The game takes place on a square board measuring 10 x 10 fields. Participants (maximum of four) have to move their pawns by the number of fields according to the value indicated by the dice throw. The winner is the person who first reaches the finish line in the upper left corner. The competition is diversified by ladders and slides located in some fields. The first shorten the road, and the second cause the cone to be moved backwards by several levels.
The developers of the computer version of Chutes and Ladders have tried to make some small innovations. First of all, the game can be played on three different boards. Apart from the traditional one with good and bad deeds, there are also a zoo and a circus. The boards can also be printed, which allows you to play in a "paper" version (the condition is, of course, to have a six-sided cube).
As befits a game for the youngest, Chutes and Ladders' visual setting is characterized by eye-catching, intense colors, nice illustrations and simple animations. The game is accompanied by a non-imposing soundtrack.
