MTV Celebrity Deathmatch is a tongue-in-cheek fight in which popular actors, singers and athletes compete. The game is directly based on a comedy series with the same title displayed by MTV. The player has more than twenty fighters at his disposal. Fourteen of them are available from the very beginning. The remaining players are gradually discovered as the game progresses. This makes it possible to play with a werewolf or Frankenstein, for example. The distinguishing feature of the game is two crazy commentators. These are Johnny Gomez and Nick Diamond. Their role is not limited to commenting on the duel itself.

The game offers three different gameplay modes. Deathmatch is a single fight. All you have to do is to select the competitors, the arena and you can start the fight. Much more in this respect is the extended Episode mode. It was realized on the basis of subsequent sections. A similar patent has already appeared in Starsky And Hutch. Each episode (there are six in total) consists of three fights. The last available mode allows you to create your own star using the available tools.
