Cats in Time Description
Cats in Time is an eye-pleasing puzzle game developed by the independent Pine Studio, also responsible for SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell and The Academy: The First Riddle.
Plot
When a brilliant inventor and dedicated cat lover Tim Edger manages to build a time machine, his pets, unaware of the trouble they may cause, decide to use it. As a result, nearly three hundred felines travel across time and space, ending up in different places and eras. Our task is to find them all.
Mechanics
Cats in Time features 30 dioramas of various locales, all of which hide cats; these include ancient Egypt, 20th century New York and even futuristic Tokyo. These locations can be viewed from any perspective by freely rotating or zooming the camera in and out.
Finding all the lost felines is made more difficult by the fact that they're hiding in all sorts of places. While some of them are easy to uncover - for example, hiding under the hood of a parked car - others require solving a variety of puzzles. These mainly revolve around manipulating various devices, adjusting mechanisms and switches.
Technical aspects
Cats in Time's visuals are colorful and cartoonish. The various dioramas reflect the peculiarities of each different era. Throughout the game we're accompanied by catchy, relaxing music.
