The first installment of the hunting simulation cycle in a science fiction climate. In a not-too-distant future humanity discovers a planet similar to that of the Jurassic era. The player plays the role of a hunter who decides to cross the universe in order to take part in a dinosaur hunt. The title was produced by Action Forms studio.

Carnivores is the second, after Chasm: The Rift, to play in the Ukrainian Action Forms studio. The developers from Kiev were inspired by the Turok series, and the game was designed as a combination of hunting simulation with spectacular and exciting action.

The plot of the game takes players into the near future, when mankind manages to discover the way of travel between distant planetary systems. Soon afterwards, a research probe makes an interesting discovery. The planet called FMM UV-32 is inhabited by beasts, which are deceptively reminiscent of dinosaurs prevailing 500 million years earlier on Earth. The Dino Hunt corporation was founded in aeration of excellent business, which offered its clients the opportunity to participate in a unique safari.

The player plays the role of a hunter who arrives on a foreign planet to face its inhabitants. Small islands densely scattered on the surface of UV-32 FMM are inhabited by a total of 10 species of dinosaurs, among which allosaurs, tyrannosaurs, stegosaurs and velociraptors are present. The hunting grounds are forest, jungle, rocky coastline and even the ruins of an ancient temple. Standing in front of deadly reptiles, the hero only has a sniper rifle, rifle and crossbow at his disposal.
