Carcassonne: Tiles & Tactics is an adaptation of a board game that shares the same title. It has been developed by the team of Frima Studio, in cooperation with Asmodee Digital. The production, in which players assume the roles of French estate owners, has been developed for the PC, Switch and AND platforms, among others.
Mechanics
The virtual table of Carcassonne: Tiles & Tactics is shown in an isometric view. Over the course of the subsequent turns we arrange tiles, that are randomly drawn from a limited pool, and add them to the already placed ones. They symbolize fragments of cities, rivers or road sections, and even buildings. After completing a certain location, we can place a pawn in it, which will collect points for us; the faceoff is won by the person with the highest number of points.
During the struggle, we often have to make difficult choices - we can focus on expanding our own sphere of influence or on blocking the development opportunities of our opponents. Due to the unpredictable nature of the game, the production is characterized by high replayability.
Game modes
Released for the PC, Switch and AND platforms Carcassonne: Tiles & Tactics allows you to play in single player, as well as in the company of other players through an online multiplayer mode(complemented by the ability to chat and the presence of leaderboards, which can be used to spread the news of our achievements) or the so-called hot seat mode.
Technical issues
Carcassonne: Tiles & Tactics has three-dimensional graphics, that present themselves quite neatly. The game also has a clear and easy-to-use user interface that is tailored to the specificities of each platform.
