A combination of traditional role-playing and dynamic arcade. The action is played in postapocalyptic realities. We sit at the helm of a futuristic vehicle, performing various quests.

Car Battler Joe is a very unusual product. The game combines elements of classic Japanese RPGs and not too complicated arcade games. Moreover, the action of Car Battler Joe was set in a postapocalyptic environment. There are numerous references to the Mad Max cinema trilogy, or games such as Bandits and Auto Assault. The preparation of this game is the responsibility of a Japanese development studio called Ancient. Among other things, the company also developed the Amazing Island version for the Nintendo Gamecube console.

This product has of course a fully fictional thread, but it plays a much smaller role than is usually the case with RPG titles. We play the role of a young man who sets out to look for his father. We also take an active part in many other intrigues, at the same time trying to survive in a very unfavourable, futuristic environment. One of the main elements distinguishing the Car Battler Joe from typical Japanese RPGs is that the car is used to move around the game world. In addition, the turn-based combat system has been completely abandoned in favour of real-time battles. It can therefore be concluded that the product described refers to the cult Twisted Metal series, for example. Most fights require the complete annihilation of the attacked opponents.
