Cannon Fodder 2 is the second installment of the popular shooting series, which we owe to Sensible Software. As in the original, this game allows you to take control of a group of American infantry soldiers ready to face the predominant enemy forces.
The campaign is divided into successive missions, which in turn into so-called phases. In each stage, you must eliminate all enemies and destroy enemy buildings, as long as the latter are on the virtual battlefield. A unit consisting of several soldiers was put at the player's disposal. If they are killed, we can continue the struggle until the reserve warriors are exhausted, conscripted into the army after each successful mission.
Although the mechanics of Cannon Fodder 2 has not been modified in any way, the environment in which we will have to face our opponents has completely changed. The plot of the programme revolves around time and space travel, which is why brave soldiers have to deal with various types of opponents, such as Arab terrorists or medieval knights. In several missions, the warriors will move to a foreign planet, to a base of aliens who want to conquer the Earth.
Normally in the player's arsenal there are only machine guns with unlimited amount of ammunition. During the struggle, you can equip yourself with grenades and rocket launchers, collecting the abandoned chests here and there. Collection of explosives is necessary, because only they can turn enemy buildings into ruins. In the game there are also available vehicles (jeeps, tanks) and helicopters. The use of machines can often prove to be crucial for the success of the whole mission.
