Candy Crush Jelly Saga is a match-3 puzzle game released on the iOS, AND and WP mobile system. It uses the free to play distribution model with microtransactions. It was developed by King.com, authors of the two previous installments of the series, Candy Crush Saga and Candy Crush Soda Saga.

Gameplay

As usually in the series, Candy Crush Jelly Saga released on iOS, AND and WP has no actual plot and it focuses entirely on gameplay. The game mechanics remain faithful to the classic rules of match-3 genre. The player must complete more than one hundred of levels. In each of them his task is to manipulate the candies by moving them in various directions until he creates a line of at least three candies of same type. Creating such combination will make the candies disappear, thus changing the situation on the map.

In difference to most match-3 games, levels in Candy Crush Jelly Saga aren’t randomly filled with objects. Instead of that, each of them is a manually designed unique puzzle with carefully positioned candies, specific objectives and unique shapes of maps themselves. The gameplay is more varied thanks to the battles with boss named Jelly Queen defeating who depends on completing specific objectives. In addition to that, the player can challenge his friends to beat his or hers score via the constantly updated rankings.

All of that summed together makes a predictable continuation that has no revolutionary mechanics, but makes it up with very high level of polish and carefully designed riddles.
