Candlelight PC

Candlelight is the debut project of the independent studio Pixel Maverick Games. The creators of the game decided to face the genre of classic, two-dimensional platformers. The title stands out from other competing products due to its visual setting, clearly referring to the famous Minecraft.

The action of the game takes place in a world, in which as a result of a series of catastrophes almost all the candles went out. The growing darkness can only brighten up the last one, which has retained its flame. The player's task is to direct the actions of the waxy hero and restore the glow of fire in the land.

The game is based on elements perfectly known to the fans of the genre. The player must wander through a series of boards jumping on distributed platforms and avoiding all kinds of dangers. The traps in the air include rain clouds, lava craters and gunpowder barrels. The creators were also tempted by small innovations, such as the possibility of setting fire to some objects, which allows, for example, to unblock the passageway.

From the visual side Candlelight clearly draws inspiration from the famous Mojang Minecraft studio production. This can be seen, for example, in the construction of the world, which gives the impression of being built of cubic blocks. However, the developers decided to use cel-shading technology, which gave the graphic design a comic character.
