The campsite simulator is a strategy game produced by the German company Astragon Software. The player plays the role of camping site manager, and his task is to provide comfort and entertainment to tourists visiting them.
The campsite simulator is a proposal of the German company Astragon Software addressed to customers from the so-called casual market (occasional players). Production combines elements of economic strategy and life simulation.
In the course of the game, the player plays the role of camping site manager. Its task is to create a comfortable stay for virtual tourists and provide them with appropriate entertainment. Satisfaction of guests translates into profits, which in turn allows the company to develop.
The player's responsibilities include, among others, development of infrastructure based on 50 facilities (buildings, recreational facilities, decorative elements, etc.), management of staff and current response to the needs reported by tourists (e.g. increasing the number of catering stands, cleaning toilets).
The game allows you to try your hand at campaign mode, which consists of scenarios with increasing difficulty level or in free gameplay without strictly defined tasks to perform. The competition takes place in 11 locations located in different parts of Europe (e.g. Germany, Poland, Italy and Spain).
The cartoon-style visual setting of the campsite simulator clearly departs from modern standards. Three-dimensional graphical environment is characterized by simplified models of characters and objects. The creators, however, were tempted by such elements as changing cycles of day and night.
