Wulf Castle has long been regarded as the seat of evil. Despite this, his thresholds crossed many daredevils, attracted by the prospect of finding a legendary treasure. However, adventurers quickly had to recognize the superiority of the evil sorcerer Dianos and his hordes of monsters. Wulf Castle was still an unattainable fortress and there was nothing to suggest that something could change in this matter.
An interesting change of pace from the Bitmap style, Cadaver is a high-end arcade adventure. It utilises picturesque 3D isometric graphics, many a medieval mind bender and a nifty icon system by which to manipulate the world around your character to bring one of the favourite game types to the 16 bit computers - and with style. Hundreds of rooms to explore, a large range of spells and potions and a full compliment of adversaries to contend with. Cadaver is a challenging and tremendous game that continues to delight.
