Burnout Paradise Description
Burnout Paradise for X360 and PS3 is the next installment of the extremely popular racing games. The title was at first released for the seventh generation’s consoles (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) and then for PC.
Gameplay
The game takes place on the large area of Paradise City – a fictional metropolis which contains, among other things, an island with an airport, a bay with skyscrapers and hills that are free of any infrastructure. The player’s task is mostly spectacular driving and breaking the traffic regulations. One can drive against more than thirty various rivals and unlock new vehicles while progressing in the game. The vehicles aren’t licensed, but they are based on such cars like American muscle cars (for example the Ford Mustang) and European machines like Ferrari Enzo. During the races the player has great freedom of movement and he should look for shortcuts. Of course, it is very enjoyable to play the game with other players through the Internet.
Technical aspects
The developers decided to refresh the classic gameplay formula by using technology that was used never before. Most of all, the physical engine was greatly improved and now it lacks any scripts and affects all three-dimensional objects. In addition to that, the number of pieces of the virtual vehicles that can be destroyed was increased to almost one hundred. This allows the players to, for example, cut the car in half or change a coupe into a cabriolet.
