Bullet Soul: Infinite Burst
Action 01 November 2016
A continuation of the well-received 2011 title Bullet Soul. This bullet hell shooter continues the story of the characters from its predecessor – once again, they have to face the powerful forces of the evil Mecha-war empire planning to conquer the outer space. During the game, the player gets to control one of the four available starships, and engage in battles that revolve around flying upwards and eliminating hordes of enemies shooting at the main protagonist with everything they've got – this applies to both minor enemies appearing in formations and powerful bosses. Player’s actions are monitored by the scoring system – one can improve their score by activating the special Combination Mode, in which defeated enemies leave coins behind them. Bullet Soul: Infinite Burst comprises several game modes – apart from the standard mode called Normal, in which the player completes consecutive stages of the story campaign, there is e.g. the Caravan mode (known from the first installment), in which one attempts to achieve best time score, as well as Bancho Mode, which allows the players to develop their skills. Moreover, one can play alone, as well as in cooperative mode with one additional player. The entire experience is pleasing to one’s eye due to the game’s pretty visuals featuring cartoonish graphic style.
