Builders of Greece is a classic city builder strategy, set in the times of ancient Greece. The player's task is to build a well-functioning city and take care of the needs of its inhabitants.
Builders of Greece is another part of the cycle of city builders developed by Strategy Labs. The game is inspired by classic games of the genre such as Pharaoh or Zeus.
Mechanics
Builders of Greece uses the same ideas as other parts of the cycle. The overall goal of the game is simple - to build a functioning city while maintaining its financial liquidity. In order to achieve this, issues such as food production, the extraction and processing of resources and technological development must be taken care of.
Some of the goods produced will be used by the inhabitants. Surplus can also be sold to neighbours. In addition, if the player takes care of good relations with other cities (e.g. by fulfilling their requests or sending messengers to them), he will be able to buy the missing goods from them.
In order for the city to function properly, it is necessary to care for the satisfaction of its residents. This can be achieved by giving them access to food, gambling and luxury goods. There is also a religion system in the game. The player's task is to satisfy the gods. In order to do so, the player must build places of cult.
Technical aspects
Builders of Greece, like other parts of the series, was built on Unreal Engine 4. This resulted in a detailed, 3D graphic design.
