Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Wrath of the Darkhul King is an uncomplicated arcade game in which we play the title vampire pogrom. The Buffy series enjoyed great popularity among young people. However, he wasn't very lucky when it comes to computer games. This was no different in the case of Nintendo's portable consoles. The previous game from this series, prepared for GameBoy Color, was considered to be one of the worst productions in its genre. This time it was decided to release a version on GameBoy Advance. The developer has also changed. This is a Japanese Natsume studio, known mainly for its Medabots and Power Rangers games.
The storyline does not play an important role in the actual game. However, it is worth noting her presence. The events presented in the game are connected with the title monster, known as Darkhul King. The beast not only managed to return to Earth, but also to regain previously lost powers. As a result, we have to deal with the scourge of Sunnydale's haunting monsters. The main heroine is, of course, assigned to this task. At the same time it should be noted that Buffy is the only playable character of the discussed dexterity game. The rest of the characters appear only in short intermittent scenes, which we watch between the actual stages.
The manufacturer has prepared 16 not very extensive and at the same time very similar levels. This production is a classic scrolling platform, played in a two-dimensional environment. Practically the whole game is based on the elimination of the monsters you meet. At the same time, the control is not too complicated. What deserves attention is the possibility of upgrading or combining weapons. However, there were no places where grey cells could be exerted. Riddles are usually very simple and are limited to finding the right key or destroying an obstacle using one of the weapons in your possession. Visually, the game looks quite average. It is also worth mentioning that this arcade game was created exclusively for a single player. So there are no multiplayer modes.
